This is my second mission trip to Haiti and I have truly enjoyed my time in working with an awesome team to complete some planned projects as well as projects that arose out of the inclement weather over the past few weeks.  It seems that no matter what happens to Haiti the people continue to press forward.  We worked on some clean-up early in the week which was pretty intense, however waiting with smiles were kids who brought such joy.  We enjoyed teaching them songs and sharing moments where they taught us. Today we attended church and saw some of same kids that greeted us again with their beautiful smiles, making sure to show us that they remembered what they had been taught.

The project that I enjoyed most was the clean water project that included the installation of water filters in the homes of people for minimal cost.  This project continues to enhance the lives of the people of Haiti.  I was glad to go out with the team on Friday and walk to the houses ready for filters and see how easy it was to install the system.  Clean water is so important in improving the overall quality of life of the recipients. I was so proud that I was able to assist in an install.

Although the work was a little harder this trip and challenged me physically as well as mentally, it was so worth it.  The hospitality was exceptional and I appreciate the new friendships and comradery with the team.  I thank all who made it possible for me to go and grow in Christ.  This is not my last trip to Haiti.

God Bless!
