Puerto Rico day 8

WE MADE IT SAFE TO DETROIT!

Last night we had a great discussion about our trip and how we were impacted by it.  There has been lots of discussion this week in regards to us being where God wanted us to be.  After this week,we know it is true- if something is planned by God, it will succeed.  If it is planned by man, it will fail.  Everything for this trip came together quickly and smoothly, we KNOW we were where we were meant to be.
This morning Dolly had to leave us early to get to an appointment with her Mom- but we got to meet her cousin who had breakfast with us.
We were blessed to be able to see our friends List and Nicky one last time before we left and they loved the photo album we have them.  There were many tears as we said goodbye.
This morning we were also FINALLY able to meet the mysterious Pastor Jesus Garcia (he had been in North Carolina until Monday night, so we didn't meet him until today).  We had a long conversation about the church and their mission team and the missionaries they host throughout the year. Pastor Garcia said he is a social worker also and so likes to take his ministry in the streets and not sit in his office, so he is very aware of the needs of the island, which is why it makes it easy for them to accommodate all different size groups and find meaningful things for them to do.
Pastor Garcia drove us to the airport...where we found we had an hour delay.  So we ate lunch at the airport.
We arrived in Philadelphia without any problems.  We had a long walk to our next gate and decided we better eat dinner...so our lay over didn't seem quite as long as it was.

Thank you all for your prayers and for allowing us to take this opportunity that God provided for us.
Jeanna
