Assorted Haiti posts

What a hike Friday. We installed filters here. We walked down the hill and then up the mountain. See the cell tower in the distance? We were above that. The guys were carrying 100lbs of sand and the temp was 89f and muggy. The people who live there trek it all the time. No biggie to them.

Reverend Lionel Scott from Detroit (on the left) with Pastor Smith (who translated it into English for us) preached the sermon today in Haitian Kreyol. He did an excellent job! The people loved it! They clapped and cheered for him. What a time we had in church today! And it was packed. They had to set up additional chairs for us.

Thank you First Baptist Cadillac Mission Board for your monetary gift. It is being used in a couple different ways. One of the ladies’ groups is cooking meals on the first Sunday of the month and passing the meals out to people most in need following the Sunday morning service. The first meal was given today. See below..... they figure they will have enough for 3 months. The other thing they are doing is buying food for the widows/single moms home (Bethany). It is much appreciated.
