Abba, Father!

Abba, Father!  You are wonderful to have brought me here.  I ask for wisdom and courage to see this through.  I’m struggling with the heat.  You have opened my eyes and what I see is beautiful people who love you deeply.  Their smiles are almost out of place among the trash heaps.  You said there will always be poor, but Lord, does there have to be so many?  May I serve them as You would.  May my smile reflect Your love.  I’m asking this in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer, blog.  Blog, prayer.  Cyber space is His place, too.  I often write my prayers out.  Friends asking for prayer on Facebook get just that, a prayer typed on their page. A wonderful thing because the prayer is repeated every time someone reads it.  Haiti is in need of prayer.  Haiti is something you need to experience to understand just how much work there is here.  There are so many ways to serve God here.  I will never regret coming.
