bonjour ou bonsoir,
This morning we ran a vacation bible school and Imet a 14 year old girl named Alexanda and she spoke some English and I have taken two French classes and between the two of us we could talk and write notes to each other. It was my first real conversation with a natively French speaking person and it was an absolutely amazing experience I was nervous but so excited.
We worked outside I the afternoon and that was very difficult. It is hot. There are so many beautiful tropical plants and fruits here. The food is SOOOOOO good. I was nervous but the food is great! Jude, one of our translators, is one of my new best friends. I love the sense of community that the Haitians have it is really amazing and I think the Americans could learn a thing or two.
