Greetings from Cap-Haitian, Haiti
Today was a beautiful day from the very start. The temperature ranged from the high 80’s to mid 90’s;
we were extremely hot! Most of the team member’s
shirts were soaked with sweat, however with great perseverance, the work went
on. We finally finished the multi-level
stairwell that we worked on all week at a community complex where widows live
with their children.
My spirit was very touched by the love and appreciation shown
by the children and adults at the complex.
Likewise, I was moved with compassions as I witnessed many of the adults
in the community volunteer to help carry buckets of cement to the project
site. I feel that this was a testament
of their willingness to allow the Holy Spirit humble them to the degree that
they saw themselves as not “only being served but serving as well.”
It has been a great week; the work is finished. We thank everyone for your prayers and
support.
In His service gladly,
Curtis
