3/3 Becky Blog Time
Well to begin with Mom and Hills and others who were worried
about my travel, I am more than fine. I
have been blessed by the beauty of the Haitian people and how resourceful they are
and how fortunate we are. What they “settle”
with and make the most of is far less than we would ever accept. There is real irony in the way they build
walls of protection around all of their homes but proclaim Christ as Lord and
Savior on those same walls. I am
learning a lot about myself!
As Lynn mentioned the weather is fantastic. I have a new founded sun allergy and this
year we are in a shaded work area I am shedding the long sleeve protection
shirt and large hat. God is good! My biggest problem is sitting still as I will
nod off and not very casually. Every
once and a while I will hear a foggy “Becky come back” from one of my new friends
and I am good for a while longer.
I guess I will close and go take a cold shower (no choice)
and brush my teeth with bottled water.
These are minor concerns considering all the blessing I am receiving. Thank you for all of your prayers we are feeling
them!!!
