Progress in Haiti
Each day has been a new experience. Each day God has
protected us and allowed us to work as a team for His Glory. On Sunday we went
to the town church service. Although I
was unable to understand most of the words you knew when the name of Jesus, God
Almighty, Our Lord and Savior was being praised. They praised and worshipped
God Almighty with humble hearts! They
stood up and clapped their hands. You
could see and hear how thankful they were in their eyes and voices. The Holy
Spirit had filled the room and the hearts of all that were present. Today was
our second work day on the rubble house on hill. It was great to form a chain line and get
buckets of soft ball size rocks up the hill. It was a challenge as the heat got up to 80
today. We went back home for lunch and had a wonderful meal. Our hostess and accommodations
are very nice. We were able to unload a
truck of lumber and return to the rubble house and work a little more. We
prayed together after lunch and shared reading parts of Psalm. I thank God for
being able to be a part of this team. We work and help each other in whatever
way necessary. Remembering to be flexible and that we’re all in this together
uplifts our spirit. Encouraging words and remembered scripture is shared all
day long. At the end of the day our devotions give us all a chance to reflect
on God Almighty and we are so thankful for His Mercy and Love. Today I learned
PaPa Eternelle, Everlasting Father.
