The missions team went to old San Juan Sunday afternoon. It
was a stormy day, and we decided to all split up. Some planned to go to the
castle, and me (James), Deborah, and Brian went into town to shop for souvenirs
and look at the town and all its splendor. Even with the rain that was
relentless, we didn’t let it steal our joy. We saw awesome monuments, and a mansion
in the middle of town. And I got a pineapple shirt. We were out for about an
hour and got a call. Everyone was back at the van because of the rain. They said
they wanted to pick us up, so we waited for a half hour or more. Then we called
them back, and they told us they couldn’t reach us because of street closures
due to the rain so we headed back. On the way back, we were walking down a steep
wet hill when I decided to worn Brian about the leaves on the ground. I said,
be careful not to step on any leaves because you could slip on them just like a
banana peel. Just as I said that, his feet went up and just like that he was on
the ground. I looked down and asked him if anything was hurt besides his pride.
He said that was the one thing that for sure was hurt. lol. That was the
highlight of the day. Miner injuries, but in the end it was a Glorious day with
the Lord, and a day I will never forget. Praise the Lord
