First Official Day- Puerto Rico 2022

Hi,

We made it to Puerto Rico safe and sound 4 hours late after some frustrating delays. We prayed our way through it and leaned on each other to keep our patience. Our airline crew was very kind as well as everyone else we spoke to. We made it to our temporary home around 3:30 AM and made it to bed around 4:30 AM. We got up for breakfast (omelet and hash browns) at 7:30 and then got ready to be at church at 10. Our service was fantastically translated by Dolly and the members of the church also made an effort to make sure we always understood. They even sang a little in English for us! After the sermon the church allowed us to eat lunch in their dining hall and change to go to the beach. We went to Isla Verde beach and due to the Puerto Rican holiday weekend it was like a big party. The water was warm and very refreshing. After leaving the beach we went to The Mall of San Juan and we all explored and met up for some smoothies. We came home to impeccably made lasagna and salad AND dessert! At this time Pastor Hector Soto came over to discuss our week’s work and now we are settling into bed. We ask for your prayers that we can fulfill all the work we need to do here and touch the hearts of those we help.

Thank you,

Morgan Madej
