Oh what a privilege to do Gods work. The friendships and
fellowship is joy to the soul. Past bonds have deepened and new bonds have been
made. My new friends have been forged, not through Creole or English, but God’s
grace of preparing me through sign language. My new friends are deaf. I thank
the Lord for my meager abilities to communicate through sign and the language
of ASL, American Sign Language, which I have found used most all over the world.
I am thankful ASL is taught here and not Creole which would have been close to
impossible for me at this moment. Blessed be the ties that bind us through
Christian Love and the wonderful warm people of Haiti.
