Hello brothers and sister in Christ.
Today I saw a funeral
procession in Haiti. The young people who lead the music portion marched in
sync with the sounds of the mostly brass ensemble. They paraded down a busy
street and assembled around a body. The body was the remains of a departed
soul. Most likely many of the band members were not acquainted with the
deceased. However, they performed with a vigor in 92+ degree weather that
showed they had something deeper to celebrate than death. I wonder as
Christians in challenging mission situations do we remember to operate with a
fervor and desire that makes the death of this world dance to life of our
Savior.
