Today we taught about the colors White and Purple. White being purity - how Jesus died for our sins and made us pure again. Purple being Royalty - To signify Jesus' majesty.
We had the kids make purple paper crowns they could wear. They were able to decorate the crowns with stickers. This craft was a big hit! They were all very proud of their crowns and loved stickers, I mean what kid doesn't!
We also planned a 3 legged race for our game. Unfortunately, the leaders thought the race was going to be too dangerous for the younger two groups. Gabe and I were lucky enough to be with the older kids. Gabe and I showed them what the race was, then set them up with partners, they LOVED it!.
The kids seem to really enjoy us being there, they are full of energy, and always want some of our attention.
Tonight we did not have an evening event, but spent a lot of time planning VBS for tomorrow.
Internet is still unreliable, so no blogging (good thing we still have pen and paper).
