        Haiti - July 27th

Today was a busy but amazing day! This morning we went to church and had a translator sit next to us who spoke great English. He was a big help! Afterwords, friends and family threw Pastor Voltaire a surprise birthday party and he was very excited to see everyone. The food was delicious, the singing was beautiful, and it seemed like everyone had a lot fun. We went to see where VBS will be occurring for the next few days and we're super excited to see all the kids! Later, we went back to the church and saw at least 30 people get baptized both young and old. About half way through it, a storm came through that made the power go out and made the screens in the windows blow out. But that didn't stop them! People still continued to get baptized and everyone was still singing, praising God. Eventually, the power came back on and right before we left, little girls came up to us asking what our names were, playing with our hair and giving us kisses on the cheek. They were so cute! We saw an orchestra that was from France! They were extremely good. When we arrived back to the house at around 9:30pm, the women had prepared for us 2 delicious pizzas. We are so thankful for the women preparing meals for us everyday and taking care of our dishes once we are all done.

I'm excited to see what God is going to do tomorrow:)

  1. I'm SOOO excited for you all! I truly believe we haven't experienced the fullness of who God is until we've been a part of a mission team! Not only do we connect with our team members in a new way, but we share a unique bond with the people we go to serve....only to find they've blessed us more than we blessed them! Smile often and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you! :)
