My Point of View- from Doug

Thanks to all who supported me. It’s been an opportunity of a lifetime. Wish more of my family church was with me, but don’t worry I’ll be home soon and we’ll have another opportunity in the future. The Haitian people are just like I remember- also friendly, caring, and loving. Hard working principles to be admired. To much of my surprise, we’ve been able to not only complete a rubble house but assist in different phases of many other rubble houses. I’m looking forward to coming home and sharing even more. Hope you have enjoyed not only the blogs but the many pictures and videos we have sent. We just finished the rubble house we came to build today and a few of us we able to climb the mountain behind the area of the rubble house. Made me step back and once again admire the glory and beauty that the Lord has given to this world. Have made many new Haitian friends that I never thought could compare to the ones that I already have. Just shows you the Haitians are just a bunch of lovable people. Last thing- it’s unfortunate, the beauty of the countryside doesn’t outweigh the poverty of the country. It truly is hard to see every day. I’ll explain this later: “I can’t fly but God can catch”.
