Cap Haitien - Day 3 - 2nd Entry!

First, Amy, I am ok.  You do not need to worry about me.  Second, I sang in a choir.  We sang in front of nearly 2000 people.  I thank God for giving me the courage to get up there and praise Him.  I wish you could have seen it, but maybe not heard it;)
Being here in Haiti, is such a life changing experience. (You were right, Amy.)  I have seen so many people living with such strife, but, being so happy and full of life.  God HAS to be in this country, and be actively blessing the people.  We have gone walking and driving through neighborhoods, and the Haitian people are always ready with reply to our greetings.  Yesterday, Tracy said our drive to the worksite sounded like the opening to Beauty and the Beast, “ Bon Jour, Bon Jour... Bon Jour, Bon Jour, Bon Jour”.  It is amazing how we have been received.
Today, our church service was so special.  First, we all sang together.  But, more importantly, Rev. Carnel’s message “Good News” was so right on.  Pastor Voltaire’s translation was just as energetic, helping bridge the language barrier, moving the congregation, and us.  As we left the church, some of the people who had not left yet, came up to greet us, shaking or just holding hands.  It really was another moving experience that added to the message.
I thank God that I am here.  I ask you all to pray  for us and our families who miss us.  I hope my first blogpost is ok.  (Quite a few firsts for this mission.)
